How to make chat friends? Can i find real and genuine friend through Yahoo answer?

one of my collegue suggested me that Chat and Internet is good medium of making New Friends? I am trying my luck from past one month but i don’t think i have got any success.

I have tried in different chat roomz of yahoo and msn? but i guess people are least interested and bothered about chat list? you get more IM from spam rather then real people?

I tried social networking website like myspace, facebook and orkut but that too didnt help much? I am in kinda work where i am online almost for 12 hours in a day.

Can anyone get friends alone with me here on yahoo? if yes let me know

You just need to a person who will not send you spam and you are positive is not lying to you about who they are. Someone you talk to may claim to be 18 but really be 45, Or someone could be 45 and pretending to be 18. They could cool and nice and the internet but be a total perv in real life. Meeting new friends over the internet can be challenging, but it is not impossible.

well you may not be able to find a real great for life freind only but sometimes it is nice to talk to people whom you will never see or probably even think of again.. people from all over the world sit by there laptops computers w.e and we all connect personaly that is why some sites like this so amazing
