by: admin Monday, March 15th, 2010

When ever I get a result for a website, I click on it and it takes a little while longer than it usually does to load, with the phrase "Jump" on the top window bar. then if I go back to search results and click on the find it loads to the correct site.I’m using Mozilla, and I thinks it’s the latest addition. So how do I stop getting redirected to spam

It’s probably the TDL3 rootkit virus/malware.

I fought with this thing for almost a week. It was driving me crazy. Finally found an easy solution. Hitman Pro 3.5 will get rid of it, along with any other malware on your PC. You can download it at http://www.surfright.nl/en/products/ and it is very easy to use.

This seems to be the only product currently capable of cleaning this bug. Tried Norton, McAfee, Malware Bytes, AdAware, MRT, and Super Anti-Spyware and none of them were able to find the trojan and proxy entries that were causing the issue.

A good description of what this bug is doing and how it is doing it can be found here –

I hope this helps, and good luck!
