When I use the google/yahoo search engines, I get spam results? How do I get rid of this bug?

by: admin Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Ok, every time I use Google/Yahoo/Lycos, and pretty much every search engine(except ask.com), it gives me spam results. If I type in "wikipedia", the first result I get is "bottomdollar.com" and other crazy results.

I have done a virus scan, ran my spyspot, done my adaware software, done a disk cleanup, restarted my computer, cleaned all the cookies, and you name it. Yet this is still happening.

What can I do to get rid of this bug, or whatever it might be?

I really miss using google!

It’d no bug. You’re definitely infected with adware. Try a program like Malwarebytes or go into your Internet Explorer settings and look for any odd add-ons that you can disable.
